On Saturday, October 9th, our Sandhills SAR Chapter will attend this historic and patriotic event at the 13th Shaw House Heritage Fair in Southern Pines. See the Announcement below.
This will be a great opportunity for us to meet, interact with the public, and inform them about the principles, mission, and goals of the SAR. It will also allow us to meet the members of the Moore Country Historic Association and learn more about the Historic Shaw House in Southern Pines.
We will set-up a tent and table and display our Flags and Chapter Banner. This will be very informal and lots of fun. If we could assemble a team of compatriots, that would be great. Maybe a morning and afternoon shift?
Matt Mutarelli, Southern Pines Gunsmith, will have his display of 18th Century firearms and weapons.
We will need Sandhills Chapter handouts, SAR Organization documentation and prospective Membership information to handout. Whoever can help assemble that documentation, it will be appreciated. Please let me know how you can help to put our best foot forward in our first local public event.
