On June 21st 2025, Sandhills SAR Chapter Compatriot Steve Lawrence, Eagle Scout Committee Chairman, presented the SAR Eagle Scout Medal and Certificate to New Eagle Scout Kaiden Jekel of BSA Troop 800 in Aberdeen North Carolina. To earn his Eagle Scout merit status, Kaiden Jekel organized a program to provide potable water and warm clothing to the affected folks of the Western North Carolina mountains hurricane Helene. Huzzah! and Congratulations Kaiden!
